Welcome to my website

Hey! I'm Emma. I'm now 18 years of age. I'm studying Spanish at Stirling University. I went to Boroughmuir High School in Edinburgh and in 2015 I won two Outstanding Achievement Awards for my writing. In 2015 also won a Diana award and a Young Scot award.
I decided to write this book, which is now FOR SALE, because my mummy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2012. I was 12 and my sister was 9. I tried to find a book about my mum's cancer to help me understand what was going on but I could only find books for little kids or adult material which I couldn't really understand. So I decided to write my own. I want to make a difference and help other teenagers. I know there is a demand for it because my Eek facebook page received over 1200 likes in the first two weeks. I have raised enough money to buy 1000 books and every single Maggie's Centre in the UK have a copy along with every Edinburgh Library. I visited Maggie’s Edinburgh where the staff supported me while my mummy underwent breast cancer treatment. Maggie’s Centres are beautifully designed buildings located on hospital grounds across the country, offering emotional, practical and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Truly inspirational.
Thank you for checking out my website and if you don't wish to buy a book you can always leave a wee donation which will help me gift books to other teenagers. 100% of the proceeds go back into the book. Thank you for stopping by.
